How a public figure takes over their PolitiCap ticker — claim the listing, receive the retained share book, or delist with a public reason.

What CLAIM means

Every person ticker starts index-listed / not yet claimed. After the market is open (tradeable), someone who has completed identity verification can CLAIM that ticker. Claiming:

  • Binds the ticker to your PolitiCap account
  • Marks the listing Verified claim with your display name
  • Grants you the retained 80% of outstanding shares (virtual DutchBud / DBB game shares — not real-money securities)
  • Leaves the public float (about 20%) with the house broker so other players can still buy and sell

Price history and prior trades are not erased.

What DELIST means

Only the claiming account can delist. Delisting:

  • Requires a public reason (at least 10 characters) — shown on the ticker page
  • Sets the listing to delisted and closes trading
  • Keeps a tombstone page so the reason stays visible

Want a ticker gone? There is no anonymous “take this down” button. The path is intentional:

  1. Sign up on politicap.eu
  2. Reach trust level 4 (government ID)
  3. Claim the ticker
  4. Delist and state your reason publicly

That filters drive-by requests: only someone willing to verify identity and own the listing can opt it out — and they leave a reason on the record.
