PolitiCap is not a parlor game with a cute mascot bolted on. It is a bet that political capital can be priced, compared, and contested the way markets price everything else that matters — and that this can scale to the whole planet, not one lobby and a weekend leaderboard.
Electronic Communication Networks (ECNs) are how that bet becomes infrastructure. One floor is a product. A fabric of regional nodes — same rules, same catalog language, linked upward to a hub — is a world system. Cities and countries get local presence without inventing a new PolitiCap in every timezone. The index does not stop at a national border because the architecture does not either.
Think continent-scale, then keep going
We are building toward a map where a trader in Bangkok, Berlin, or Bogotá meets the same civic market mechanics, while regional nodes keep books and API traffic close to where people actually live. That is how you go from “interesting demo” to default infrastructure for how the public scores power.
- One methodology — shared IPO rules, tickers, DutchBud ledger semantics — so a listing means the same thing everywhere.
- Many nodes — partner-operated regional markets that hang off the hub, not a single brittle datacenter cosplaying as the globe.
- Human front door still central — signup, story, and account stay on politicap.eu; the mesh is the engine room under the city names.
Dual listings of heads of government, regional ECNs, refer-a-friend growth, MarketMaker depth — these are not side quests. They are load-bearing pieces of a machine meant to outgrow any one news cycle.
What an ECN is (without the classified binder)
- Is: a regional market node for PolitiCap — same product family, local presence, authenticated uplink to the parent hub.
- Is: installable by a serious operator from a package, with a node key issued out-of-band (not scraped from a blog).
- Is: the path from “we have a site” to “we have a planetary market fabric.”
- Is not: a substitute for the main site, a DIY reverse-engineering project, or a promise of overnight coverage of every city on Earth.
We roll nodes carefully. Ambition is not the same as recklessness. The public story stays high-level; the operator manual is where the bits live.
Why the diagram looks like neon spaghetti
World-scale systems look complicated when you flatten them into arrows and clouds. Under the hood the idea is disciplined: hub, downlinks, authenticated hello, catalog sync, regional API surface. We are not publishing rack maps, private routes, or keys here — on purpose. Secrecy about plumbing; clarity about direction.
Direction: PolitiCap intends to change how citizens, media, and officeholders talk about political weight — with open methodology, virtual capital, and markets that can be stood up wherever the demand is. ECNs are the rails.

You do not need an ECN to participate in the world we are building. Register, take the welcome dibs, watch the big tickers, invite friends. Every verified account is another vote that this is not a toy — it is a market people actually use.
Operators with a key: follow the install page, keep credentials private, and write support if the handshake sulks. Everyone else: ignore the spaghetti until your city is on the map. When multi-market hostnames go live, we announce on politicap.eu — not in a fog of internal diagrams.
